White Water Rafting
This is notably one of the most popular things to do in
Cagayan de Oro. White water raftingont the Cagayan de Oro River will leave you
breathless and asking for more. When you arrive at the river you will be
instructed on how to paddle and the guides will brief you about all important issues for
your safety. There are 14 rapids in all and each has its own special
excitement.
Mapawa Nature Park
The Mapawa Nature Park is situated about 12 km from the city. The park is a great place to spend the day. The various activities at the park include horseback riding, swimming, camping and ziplining.Macahambus Adventure Park
Macahambus Adventure Park is situated at Barangay
Lumbia, a 25-minute ride from the center of the city. The park offers 3
activities--the Skybridge, Rapeling and the Zipline. The park is a great place
to enjoy the day on some of the best adventure activities available. The rates
for the activities are: Skybridge, Rapeling and Zipline – US $12 and Skybridge and
Zipline, US $7.
Gaston Park and San Agustin Cathedral
Gaston Park is located across from San Agustin Cathedral, the main Catholic Church in Cagayan de Oro and the seat of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. The park, famous for its dancing water fountain, is also a popular place for people to relax and unwind.
