Golf Course
This city has an 18 - hole par 72 world class all-weather championship golf course designed by the world renowned designer, Robert Trent Jones II. It has all facilities and amenities such as a modern clubhouse, function rooms, pro-shop, driving range, and practice putting greens. Called the Pueblo De Oro Golf & Country Club, it is a must visit for seniors keen on golf.
Rodelsa Hall
This is the Liceo de Cagayan University's theater with the latest acoustics and concert caliber pianos. It is a repository of antiques and heirlooms.
Xavier Museum
Located inside the main campus of the Xavier University, this museum houses important historical artifacts of Cagayan de Oro, including human skeletal remains found at Huluga Cave. The skeleton is dated A.D. 377 and is one of the earliest known in existence in the entire Mindanao area.
Malasag Eco-tourism Village
This is another must-visit destination for all tourists to this city. Here you can capture the ethnic spirit of the people of these islands. It is a fascinating living museum that has on display the different houses of the indigenous tribes of Northern Mindanao. There are many examples of its colorful flora and fauna as well. The village and gardens are set in the picturesque Malasag Hills. One can walk through its winding paths and admire the breathtaking view of the city's coastline and the Macajalar Bay. There are tribal people dressed in their ethnic finery weaving baskets and dancing merrily.
Museum of Three Cultures
This is a newly opened museum in the Capitol University. It houses a gallery of Maranao antiquities from Tugaya and Lanao del Sur. A gallery of ethno history displays Cagayan de Oro history, Butuan archaeological artifacts, lumad arts and crafts from the Higaonon and Manobo cultures, besides Christian lowland artifacts of Northern Mindanao. The museum also has an art gallery.
Vicente de Lara Park
This park has age-old mahogany trees that provide a therapeutic canopy for walkers. The park is a popular jogging area during the mornings.
Gaston Park and San Agustin Cathedral
The park, located across the San Agustin Cathedral, is noted for its water-dancing fountain. It is a great place to unwind.
