Summer Season (March to May)
Since most of Camiguin’s main attractions are connected to water and the sea, the best and safest time to visit is during the summer months or dry season. Summer is from the month of March to May. During these months there are no typhoons or bad weather that can spoil your holiday. This is the perfect time to enjoy the great beaches on Camiguin Island, soak under the sun and get that perfect tan you always wanted.
Panaad (Holy Week)
If you want to relax, wind down and rejuvenate your life, visiting Camiguin during Holy Week would be a great option. There are lots of spiritual and religious activities that take place all over the island during Lent. Locals call this time "Panaad." You might want to visit Camiguin Island during this time and take part in some of the religious activities.
Town Fiesta (May)
Filipinos love fiestas, and most of the fiestas in the Philippines are celebrated during the month of May, and Camiguin is not an exemption. During the whole month of May, Camiguin is filled with various celebrations and parties. The most important day is May 15. You will enjoy yourself to the maximum if you visit Camiguin Island during this time. Fiestas are always all about fun, food and partying.
San Juan Hibok-Hibokan (June)
San Juan Hibok-Hibokan is an annual festival that takes place on the June 24. The festival is a tribute to St. John the Baptist and is usually celebrated on the beaches of Agohay and/or Cabua-an. During the San Juan Hibok-Hibokan festival, locals and visitors compete in different water sports like aqua palo sebo and boat racing. There are also street processions and parades as well as the Miss Hibok-Hibokan beauty pageant.
Lansones Festival (October)
Camiguin is well known not only for its beaches and vast vegetation but also for its woodlands. One of the most popular produce in Camiguin Island is the Lansones fruit. The Camiguin Island local government has set apart the third week of October to celebrate the harvest of the Lansones. This is a time of celebration you would not want to miss while vacationing in Camiguin Island.
