Nayong Pilipino

Journey into colonial days with Nayong Pilipino. Newly restored, this sprawling structure allows visitors to wander through intricate exhibits and a park atmosphere. Cultural traditions are carefully preserved: from the dazzling replica of the Barasoain Church (which continues to hold mass every Sunday) to the self-contained Ifugao Village, there is much to see. Touring will not be difficult. The museum is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day and grants flexibility.

Clark Museum

Nestled within the Clark Freeport Zone (a former United States Air Force base that has been revitalized as an urban center), Clark offers an abundance of exhibits and archival information. With intriguing items--such as artifacts salvaged from the volcanic ash of Mount Pinatubo--and a dedication to promoting the value of heritage, it is not to be missed. Of all Angeles City Museums, it is the most centralized and can be easily reached. Travelers are cautioned, however, to make reservations. The museum is open every day but is frequented by high numbers.

Bale Matua

Often touted as the grand center of Angeles City, the Bale Matua mansion and museum will delight with its sweeping Spanish architecture and significance. Designed by founder Don Ángel Pantaleón de Miranda in 1824, it now stands as a treasured reminder of the early influences and struggles. Period details will impress. Visitors are highly recommended, though, to seek out tickets before arriving. This is a popular destination and can often be difficult to tour; even with its 7 days a week schedule.
