Pondo Bar

Pondo Bar is a great place to visit if you like to chat with Port Moresby locals. Ladies' Night is always on Thursday, so make sure that you dress appropriately, no shorts are allowed. The Pondo Bar is also great for people-watching as the balcony overlooks the streets of Port Moresby.

Airways

One of the best things about Airways is the live band playing every night, but also the friendly locals add flavor to the bar. If music isn’t your thing, you can always play a quick game or pool or even have a go on one of the poker machines that is available. At Airways every night is a special night; what group is being catered too will depend on the night.

Yacht Club

If you are looking for locals to chat with this is not the place to go, most locals consider the Yacht Club a little too elite. The Yacht Club is the best place to go for an awesome view, and the fresh seafood is just as good. If you are looking for quality beer be sure to try a glass or 2 at the Yacht Club.

Ela Beach

If you are looking to grab a drink by the beach this is definitely the place to go. Ela Beach is beautiful during the daylight hours the nighttime hours only get better, so if you have been during the day make sure you come back at least once during the night. While visiting Ela Beach you can find some of the best seafood in town, which seafood often goes quite well with the drinks that they serve.

Crowne Plaza

The Crowne Plaza Hotel offers you 1 of the few cafes in town. The café is a great place to go when wanting a quick bite to eat or a nice cup of coffee. Once inside you will notice plenty of businessmen conducting business, but you will also find many people who come to sip on a cup of coffee while enjoying the quiet.
