Salang Beach

Salang Beach is the northern most beach on the Island.  The last stop of the ferries and speed boats.  It is the most developed beach on the island but still retains the island charm.  There is an abundance of fairly cheap accomodation and quite a few restaurants.  There are also a couple of bars. Cafe S in the middle of the 'strip' and B B Bar which is located down at the end of the beach near the abandoned hotel.  Tioman is duty free, so a Tiger or Carlsberg beer should cost around 5ringits.

There are quite a few dive centers in Salang Beach, namely B&J, Dive Asia, Azmi and Fishermen.  All cost around the same.  2 fun dives 180 ringits. Open Water Course 950ringits and Advanced Open Water 750.  The more fun dives you do, the cheaper it goes.
