Taman Negara Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeTaman Negara is one of the world's oldest rainforests located about four hours drive north-east of
Kuala Lumpur. Covering over four thousand square kilometers, the national park is seven times the size of
Singapore and is
Malaysia's largest. A visit to Teman Negara is a relaxing natural journey and is highly recommended after hectic
Kuala Lumpur.
You can undertake a number of activities over here. Jungle hikes in the dense rainforest is the most readily available. Some of the trails lead to sandstone caves. Take a guide along to explore the caves properly. It is always a nice idea to spend a night in one of the hides in the jungle. The river offers rafting and canoeing. Midnight jungle exploration trips on the jeeps is a no-show, and can be avoided unless you have nothing else to do.
An organized trek to one of the highest peaks in the region is also available from Taman Negara. It usually takes 8 to 10 days for the trek.
