Mulu is a great adventurous spot. It is declared as a World Heritage area by UNESCO. Mulu can be accessed by a 30-minute flight from Miri's International airport. Well known for its vast caves, there are numerous expeditions designed abound the cave and the rain forests of this area. You can also go on an informative tour which is designed around the eco-tourism concept. You will find the most diverse species of bats here. The limestone karst pinnacles acts as a great hiking retreat.

Mik's reef is a popular diving spot and comprises of marine life that is exotic with turtles, the hump headed fishes and white sharks to name a few. The visibility is very high between March to September.

Soak in the local lifestyle at the Tamu open market in Miri, a high energy location filled with the hustle and bustle of a market place. You will find all kinds of local produce and other goods here. A great place to see what Miri locals shop for and their style of conducting business. It is very busy during the morning hours and especially on weekends.
