The public park in Miri is nestled 3 km away from the town's center. It is situated on the road that goes to the airport. It is a well maintained park and has majestic gardens and beautiful fountains. The hanging bridge and sculptures are the major attractions of this park. It also goes by the name Taman Awam. The observatory deck is designed in the form of an oil rig. The food court offers a variety of food to choose from.

Taman Selera

Located on  Brighton Beach, this is the best park for recreation in Miri. The star attraction is an open air food court filled with stalls and hawkers selling mouth watering food. The aroma of the food just pulls you towards this market. From chicken wings in BBQ sauce to noodles and local delicacies like chicken sataya and ice kacang, you will have a wide variety to choose from. The park also has a great play area for kids, equipped with swings and slides, enough to keep the kids occupied. The park is great place to watch the setting sun and to lounge around.
