Loagoan Bunut
This is a famous national park in Miri. It is a wonderful bird watching facility. The period between February to June is the best time to visit the national park. The migration of birds into this conducive climate makes for a spectacular bird watching experience. During monsoons it offers a completely different landscape with the lake filling up with water and attracting different variety of wildlife.
Niah National Park
Venture out on a cab to the Niah National Park. It takes 2 hours to get to the park by road. It is a little farther away from the city of Miri. Unlike other parks around Miri, the Niah National Park has unique and unusual attractions for the visitors. Targeted to the senior generation, this park is an archaeological site and is known to have sheltered the prehistoric men in its caves. A must see is the painted cave and the ancient remains.
