Eating Out
Edit This
There are a number of good places to eat. It is no surprise that Malay food is dominant here. A number of Muslim food stalls are scattered across the city. There are also a number of Chinese and Indian places and a KFC in town. For more up-market places try the 5 star hotels out of town.

Restoran Hoi Yin
Edit ThisHoi Yin restaurant on the way to Teluk Cempedak beach serves the best curry laksa in Kuantan. A lot of locals now residing in Australia make a trip there to eat without fail whenever they return to their hometown. The curry is tasty, filled with a generous serve of ingredients and noodles.
Another breakfast not to miss is the nasi lemak and sambal kerang (cockle shell paste), opposit the JPJ building. His sambal is tasty and wonderfully fresh.
