National Zoo
Edit This
The zoo, located at Jalan Hulu Kelang, is an oasis in the midst of concrete buildings. Therefore it might be a nice break from walking in the midst of a megapolis. At the national zoo you can see about about 400 species of Malaysian and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds. One highlight is the Sumatran tiger. Other exotic (and endangered) animals on display are orang utans and gibbons. Admission is about 6 Malaysian Ringgit for adults and 2 RM for children. The Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
Located at the grounds of the National Zoo is the Tunku Abdul Rahman Aquarium. Admission is free.
