Edit This
The National Mosque is located Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was completed in 1965 after 3 years of construction. Its roof, designed in the shape of an eighteen-pointed star, has the appearance of a partly opened umbrella roof.
It is rated as one of the finest pieces of modern Islamic architecture in Malaysia. The Grand Hall can accommodate 8.000 people. The hall about 500 people. Another impressive feature is a 73 m minaret. A Mausoleum at the rear of the main building stands within a circular pool, and serves as the last resting place for Malaysia's illustrious sons.
Do not forget: Visitors are required to remove their shoes before entering the mosque and women should wear decent clothes.
