Eating Out in Kluang
Edit ThisThe flourishing Kluang district has a wide selection of Kluang Restaurants that serve sumptuous local cuisine as well as international dishes. This district is located in the center of Johor state, and has an entire agricultural economy. Below are some recommendations for restaurants to try in Kluang.
Yean Kee Beef Noodles
If you want to taste delicious homemade beef noodles, then Yean Kee Beef Noodles is the best place to go. Choose from dry noodles or noodles served in soup. Fresh, handmade rice noodles are used to ensure quality, and Yean Kee Beef Noodles never uses flavor enhancers. Rather, this restaurant uses pure beef stock, and complements the tender beef with peanuts, lime and chili sauce for great flavor.
Rong Seri Restaurant
Located in the Lian Seng Garden near the North-South Expressway exit, Rong Seri Restaurant focuses on Northern Thai cuisine, serving delicious seafood tom yam, stir-fried chicken and fried fish with Rong Seri’s special sauce. The restaurant also offers buffet-style dining, student buffets, and wedding packages. Rong Seri Restaurant has a tranquil, elegant ambience, with soft music playing in the background.
Hoover Restaurant
The Hoover Restaurant serves local Malaysian dishes like ondek-ondek, popiah, and pisang goreng, as well as Hainanese dishes like mouth-watering chicken rice and tea. The restaurant, which is located in the center of Taman Sayang at Kluang Baru, is a great place to stop by for a meal.
Kluang Railway Station Coffee Shop
Among the most famous dining places in Kluang, the Kluang Railway Station Coffee Shop is located right inside the Kluang Railway Station. Although the ambience is very ordinary, and the place is always packed with diners, the food served is magnificent enough to put this place on your list. You simply must try the toasted bread served with kaya, as well as the Mee-Siam and Nasi Lemak. The coffee shop/restaurant also offers a wide selection of local coffee, served the Malaysian way, and ordinary hard-boiled eggs that taste extra-ordinary. Unfortunately, Kluang Railway Station Coffee Shop does not serve lunch.
Yong Tau Fu Restaurant
The Yong Tau Fu Restaurant, located in the corner of Jalan Haji Manan, is one of the best places to enjoy yong tau fu dishes in Kluang. If you choose to come here, these are some of the dishes you must try: the bean curd, chili with fish paste, fish balls, eggplant and bitter gourd. The Yong Tau Fu Restaurant is perfect for a family meal.
