Internet Cafes in Johor Bahru
Edit ThisThis vibrant Malaysian city has no shortage of internet cafés. As with other Malaysian cities, some internet cafes are great, others are awful. The following lists the best from World 66:
Tech Net Café
Kuala Lumpur
50814
Tel: 60127363246
Just recently built in Johor Bahru, Tech Net Café calls
itself the “Internet Café with a difference.” Here you can use internet for an
hour or thirty minutes (minimum), or if you’ll be in the area for a while,
purchase a daily, weekly or monthly pass. Other services include faxing,
scanning, printing and CD/DVD burning. Tech Net Café opens early and closes
late, even on the weekdays. Food and beverage served.
Weblinks Connexions
Internet
Resource Center
Unit L1-2, Bangunan JOTIC 2
Tel: 07-2251387
Weblinks Connexions is Johor Bahru’s most popular internet café, featuring more than a dozen computers, fast connection, printing and fax services, and eager, helpful staff. Hours of opening vary depending on weekend and holiday, so call in advance. The place is a little scruffy, but the prices are cheap and connection fast. Also, if you’re on the go and need just a few minutes of internet time, the staff are usually accommodating and will charge you a fair price.
Cynet Bistro

Tel: 607-3583386 / 7
Cynet Bistro, open daily from 11am to 2am, provides a comfortable, relaxed environment for web surfers who want to browse the internet or learn new skills, such as how to use ICQ and network games. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is RM 3 per hour.
Gloria Jean’s Coffee
Ground Floor - Johor Bahru Duty Free Complex
Tel: 07-226 7485
Gloria Jean’s Coffee, first opened in America, has a branch in the vibrant city of Johor Bahru. This coffee chain sells Asian-grown coffee, snacks and provides free wireless to customers. The connection is fast and service helpful. What better way to spend your afternoon?
WiFi Hotels
Out late at night or early in the morning and need to check
your email? Go to one of the following hotels that feature wireless. Sit at the
bar, order a drink, and sign on! Keep in mind that most hotels will want you to
purchase food to use the wireless, and some will charge you a fee, although
most are free. Hotels in Johor Bahru
that include wireless are: Suria City Hotel, Mercure Johor Palm Resort, Cinta
Ayu Resort, Mutiara Hotel, Hotel Time and Dorsett Johor Hotel.
