D. R. Seenivasagam Park (Coronation Park)

Edit This
For those looking for family-friendly locations, or wishing to take time out in a quiet green spot, D. R. Seenivasagam Park (Coronation Park) is a reliable spot. Named after a former popular Ipoh politician, it contains recreational fields, an artificial lake filled with fish which you can feed from the walkway, a nursery and contains one of the last few surviving examples of the ipoh tree, from which the city takes its name. A small Japanese-style garden was recently added, complete with hungry koi in its ponds and other Japanese elements.

For kids, there's the playground, roller-skating rink and a mini-train course.

D.R. Seenivasagam Park is located at Jalan Raja Musa Aziz and is accessible through Jalan Hospital. Take Jalan Raja Dihilir and turn-off to Jalan Hospital at the roundabout. Drive along Jalan Hospital until the next roundabout, take the right turn-off and the park will be on the left.
