Accommodations are in abundance in Cameron Highlands. You will rarely need to make reservations before going if you are not picky about where you stay.

Other than the bigger hotels mentioned below, there are also many smaller family-run local hotels in Brinchang, Tanah Rata, and Ringlet. The rates for these can be as low as 30 Ringgit per night for a double.

Also, if you have not made reservations before hand, and it is off peak season, you can usually bargain for lower room rates too. I've personally managed to get up to 50% off my room rates at Equatorial, Strawberry Parks, Merlin, and Heritage Hotel!

You will also get more bargaining power if you check in late. They tend to be more flexible about the room rates if the room is going to go empty anyway. Also there is a chance that you will spend in the restuarants and bars.
