Sayo Xieng Mouane

This is the Sayo in Sayo Hotels chain that have nice ambience.  Situated in front of Wat Xieng Mouane, this was a colonial house which changed into a small but nice hotel.

The floor indeed remind me to an old European house with symetrical patterns. And there's wooden ceiling, mosquito net and local painting as wall decoration in every room, plus wooden furnitures.

Errrrrrr .... something I read about matresses in Laos' guesthouses and hostels are thick, but Sayo Xieng Mouane is not included.

In several room for double occupancy, there's additional wooden floor halfway from the main bed.

It's nice to stay at Sayo Xieng Mouane.  Especially for awaiting morning alms for the monks which held every 7 o'clock in the morning.  Since the wat [temple] is situated exactly in front of the hotel, I don't need to run here and there to take picture. Just wait in front of Sayo Hotel.

Additional note: please pay your respect about this morning alms activity by taking pictures without any flashlight!
