The complete name of Tengger Massif is Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. Situated in East Java, nearby Pasuruan.
Closest place to enter this national park from Pasuruan entry point is Cemoro Lawang. Enroute: Pasuruan, Tongas, Tongas Asri restaurant [marker], Ngadisari then Cemoro Lawang.
Breathtaking scenery from the crater rims can be seen from Cemoro Lawang. Then for beautiful sunrise, do trekking to Mount Pananjakan. The scenic panorama of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok and the highest mountain in Java, Mount Semeru a.k.a Mahameru can be seen from this point.
The Tenggerese always held annual ceremony called Nyadya Kasada or pronounced as Kesodho in Javanese. It's about graduation day for the healers with supranatural gift and the locals thrown offerings over the crater rims.
Additional point of interests from this national park; climb to Mount Semeru and visit Madakaripura waterfall about 20 km from Ngadisari.
