Bukit Lawang is especially known for their reintegration of Orang Utan into the wilderness. It is also a great place to relax. Good, cheap food, inexpensive accommodation and nice trekking. A highlight is going down the river using a former truck tyre. It is a three hours trip and big fun. Be careful, there are a few dangerous spots to master.
