Nias Selatan is the Southern province of the island of Nias, which lies west of Sumatra.
Many tourist sights can be found such as Desa (village) Bawomataluo, Lagundri / Sorake beach, Hilisimaetanö, Gomo, Mo`ale beach, Pulau - Pulau Batu, Tello, etc. The Southern part of Nias is central Nias tourism. by : Christ Mendröfa
Nias has severely suffered from the 28 March 2005 earthquake, however, reconstruction activities are underway.
The tourist infrastructure is basic, however, the island is known for its great surf sites.
