Samudraraksa Ship Museum is located in the complex of Borobudur Temple. There lies Samudraraksa ship that was used to sail the ocean from Indonesia to Ghana.

This ship succeeds to make a history in Samudraraksa Ship Expedition when it sails to reroute the marine exploration in the eight century.

In this museum, you will see how strong the ship that is made traditionally. You will also see the items used during the voyage. For instance: cooking equipments, daily appliances, books, CDs and cassettes. Books are time killers for the voyagers. CDs and cassettes will more..

In the restoration of Borobudur, the problems in the feet (foundation base) effect to hidden relief of Borobudur legs can not be re-inserted and placed in the Karmawibhangga Museum. At this museum there are 160 Karmawibhangga relief panel and the famous "unifinished Buddha" sculpture. There are 10.000 stones can not re-installed in the Borobudur temple.
