Museums

There are several museums can be visited in Surabaya. Two of them are:

- Museum Mpu Tantular. Named after the famous ancient Majapahit author, situated at Sidoarjo about 18 km from downtown Surabaya. Exhibit some of skull and skeleton of homo sapiens figure from Brantas delta and also homo mojokertensis. And several ancient treasure from Majapahit era [Majapahit is the last great kingdom in east Java].

- Monkasel a.k.a Monumen Kapal Selam or Submarine Monument. Exhibit old Russian submarine Yankee class plus several of diorama and documentary movies about Indonesian navy from Surabaya base.
