Day Trips

There are several cities nearby can be reached from Surabaya for a day trip. And whenever you feel interesting can add more days. For these destination, can be used transportation modes: damri bus, interstate buses, train [train station Gubeng] or rent car.  Here several list for day trips:

- Madura [the closest city of madura from Surabaya is Bangkalan], by damri bus and ferry. Can be seen from the ferry Jalesveva Jayamahe Monument. A tall admiral statue from Tanjungperak Naval Base facing to Madura Straits [remind some people of Liberty in Rhode Island?].

- Malang, by interstate bus [from Bungurasih bus terminus] or train. A good place for retreat from the heat [since Surabaya can be said a pretty hot city after Madura]. There are many old buildings, several Hindu temples and camping ground sites in Malang. Added with recreational place at the hills called Selecta and Malang also known as the entry point to climb some volcanos [mountains] among the mountaineers. 

- Sidoarjo, by damri bus. For tose who like to try culinary trip [specialized East Java] and shopping manykind of seafood crackers.  Beside food, Sidoarjo also base for several leather goods, such us women's shoes and flip flop and bags. With very reasonable prices.

- Batu and Purwodadi Garden Park, by interstate bus. Situated on the way Malang.

- Pasuruan and Probolinggo, by interstate bus. As the entry points to visit Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park and Madakaripura waterfall.
