Reiner de Klerk Huis now becomes Gedung Arsip Nasional [National Archive Building]. Situated in Jalan Gajah Mada, Kota, this building bring us to the memory about "living in the VOC [Verenigde Oost Indies Compagnie]". 

Long time ago, the big moat in front of this building was a small river and the owner go to Kota area [or known as Oud Batavia] by boat. And going to the Rijwick Palace [now is Istana Negara or State Palace] with horse cart.

This big house have 2 storey, with wooden floor upstairs. The doors and ventilations are wooden carving and on the backyard still remain a canon and bellfry.
