It won't be a problem to find accommodation in the Kuta region. You'll find dozens of hotels along the Kuta beach, ranging from very cheap hostels to very expensive five star hotels. If you're heading for a quieter place, you can always continue your search (and way) to either the Legian or the Seminyak area. Some hotels may be quieter but also offering less facilities than those located along the main beach. South of Kuta is the quite recently developed Tuban area that is pretty much like the Kuta area. Because most people stay at a place for just a few days, it is often possible to get a reduction when you have the intention of staying for a longer period of time. Don't be afraid to ask.

Well we stayed at Pendawa bungalow, it just behind the fabulous Mini Bar resturant,opposite the RAMADA Bingtang Bali motel .its down a quiet laneway.
Centrally located ,well appointed rooms which allow for very easy access to rooms,there is no long walk  from the front door.
In  fact we stayed in a ground floor unit ,complete with beautiful carp pond out front and luscious garden.
 yeah we were only going to try it out for a couple of days, thinking there may be better elsewhere.
 Well 3 weeks later we left ,all our friends from the more..
