Set in a quiet lane-way, just back from Legian Beach, The Island Hotel is the perfect base for your stay in Bali.

Less than five minutes walk to the famous Double 6 Beach, The Island Hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, night-clubs and bars; and the shopping district is right on your doorstep. The hostel itself features 10 luxurious double rooms, 2 x deluxe dorm, a very cool rooftop bbq & bar area, an infinity pool, cafe, in-house massage service, wi-fi internet, travel desk, airport transfers and most importantly a super friendly vibe.

The Island Hotel is centrally located near some of the best restaurants, bars, clubs, spas and fashion boutiques in Bali. Also within walking distance is the famous Double 6 beach, where you will find some of Bali's best valued cafes, the three major surf schools, Cocoon, AJ Hackett Bungy Tower, and plenty of sun chairs to spend your day on. 20 minutes (walking distance) in either direction is the famous Kuta tourist strip, Oberoi 'eat street', the world famous beach bar - Ku De Ta, the newly opened Potato Head & W Hotel and dozens of fabulous spas and fashion boutiques.

We know that meeting new people is the best part of travelling, so we have designed a variety of rooms to suit all budgets. In this way all different types of travellers can come together, to make new friends and share their stories. No matter if you are emerging destitute from the jungles of Borneo or arriving via private jet looking for a place to park your designer luggage we have something here that's just right for you.

We also include the dreaded 15-22% sales tax usually added on elsewhere, so there are no nasty suprises at the end of your stay. : )

Room Information:

1/ The Deluxe Double: These are the best rooms in the house; with a luxurious queen size double, private en-suites, super comfy mattresses, the freshest linen sheets, flat screen cable TV, safe, DVD player, an all-time shower and a few surprise treats.

2/ The Loft Double: A little variation on the Deluxe Double, with a custom built loft bed that features a chill-out couch for some serious island style cruising. Features as in above.

3/ The Twin: The same as the other rooms except the beds are separated into two singles so you still get to have the fun without having to climb into bed with your best mate. Not that we care either way. Entirely up to you. Features as in above.

4/ The Deluxe Dorm (x2) : (Mixed Dorm) The Island Dorm is not what you expect. The dorm features specially designed beds that look to maximise your privacy and comfort, whilst not hurting your budget. Each cocoon style bed features a reading lamp & personal locker. Adjacent is a stylish shared bathroom with fantastic showers.

Directions to The Island Hotel

To get to the hotel from the airport, take a taxi (5 Euros) to the back entrance of the Melasti Hotel on Jalan Padma Utara in Legian. Directly across from here is Gang Abdi. We are the last place on the left in this lane-way.

Alternatively you can come from Jalan Legian, via Gang XIX a few meters towards Kuta from the DHL office. Another major landmark is the Legian LPD (council building). Our Gang runs alongside this. Once you find Gang XIX walk until the end where you will see a bamboo fence. This is the side/night entrance.
