Getting There

The Khmer temples at Angkor is one of the world's most astonishing architectural treasure. Built between the 9th and the 13th century by a succession of 12 Khmer kings, it spans 312 square km (120 sq. miles) and is listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Recently, Angkor was also nominated as one of the new 7 Wonders of The World.

Angkor is a truly unique holiday destination where you can experience the mystic and splendour of an ancient civilisation while still enjoying the comfort of modern amenities.

Siem Reap by the river

Edit This

Siem Reap by boat! The nicest way to reach Angkor Wat.

There are several companies offering boat tickets to Siem Reap. The cheapest you can get is about 25 dollars (from Phnom Penh - Cambodian capital). But for this price, you won't be so comfortable and it can be a bit hazardous as the long speedboats usually have only one exit at the front.

Another option, a bit pricy but much more enjoyable, is to take a few days cruise on one of the beautiful river vessels going between siem reap, phnom penh and saigon. These cruises include visits to local villages and offer more..
