Plan your trip to coincide with the end of Ramadan and you may even get the chance to meet the Sultan.
The city also has a large Chinese faction that celebrates the Lunar New Year in January or February each year. The vibe of festivity is sure to permeate through you during this period of feasting, presents and celebrations. The merriment usually lasts for two weeks.
