Mian and Channu was two brothers and both were sant when the english rulers while making the Railway station name marked as "Sahiwal" On display board with the kiramat of Both sant the name sahiwal removes automaticaly and replace with mian channu this pratice continue for a longer but after this name was fomous as "Mian Channu"
