History in Lodhran

Lodhran is located on the northern side of river satluj. On its north are the districts of Multan, Khanewal and Vehari while Bahawalpur is on its southern side. On the east lies the districts of Vehari and Bahawalpur; while district Multan lies on the western side. D istrict Lodhran is spread over an area of 1,790 square kilometres comprising of following three tehsils:-

1. Lodhran

2. Dunyapur

3. Kahror Pakka

CLIMATE AND GENERAL SOIL CONDITIONS.

The climate of the district is hot and dry in summer and cold in winter. The maximum and minimum temperature ranges between 42C and 28C in summer. During winter, the temperature fluctuates between 21C and 5C. The entire district is smooth plain. The sub-soil water in Dunyapur sub-division is brackish, while that in Kahror Pakka and Lodhran sub-divisions is sweet. The average rainfall in the district is 71mm.   (by rashid mehmood)
