Atta Ullah Khan Nutkani is nazim of this town.Nutkani is the most dominant tribe of the taunsa city.Makwal is a peaceful town of taunsa sharif city.the whole Taunsa city is peaceful city.the city is developing fast because a new project of ATOMIC POWER is under construction near Makwal Kalan...
The people of Taunsa city are considered the most hard working....

Its population is about 4000 , there are many small basti near Makwal Kalan these are taike wala,Sharo wala,bechra,jhok sadeeq wale,jhok malho wale,hero,bechra,javeed abbad,hassan abbad,daera Din Panah...
These names are mostly on the names of respectful people of these areas.most people of this town are outside the country in Sauida and Dubai doing hard work for their famalies because they are getting reasonable wages to support their families...
Not from this town only but from all Taunsa And D.G Khan people go outside country for this purpose...
