Getting There in Abbottabad

Aliabad Education Foundation (ALEF) organized a Social Development Program in High School Aliabad and donated 12 super computers along with all accessories including speakers, headphones, printer, digital cameras, web cameras and internet facilities for students and teachers. ALEF also established a Science laboratory for School which is the 1st of its kind in the area.

A large number of students, teachers, ALEF directors and community members attended the opening ceremony of Computer Center and the Science lab.

Managing Director of PPC high schools and colleges Bakote, Imtiaz Ahmed Abbasi, was the chief guest in the inauguration ceremony. In his inaugural address, he appreciated the establishment of comprehensive 1st Computer Center and Science Lab in circle Bakote. In his speech he said the world is becoming a global village and we cannot survive without the latest and modern techniques and tools of education delivery system, therefore, this computer center and science lab will play a key role in the improvement of existing education system not only in Aliabad but the whole circle Bakote.

Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, the General Secretary and Director of ALEF, presided over the function. In his presendential address, he conveyed the ALEF message to all the students and teachers that our education is incomplete without the knowledge of information technology, therefore, we have provided the opportunities to students of Circle Bakote to get maximum benefits through these modern and well-equiped facilities. We have opened the doors to the world through the Internet facilities and now it is the responsibility of teachers and students that they should use them constructively to further explore the world of knowledge. During his address he said this is just the beginning, if we achieve the desired results we will extend our financial support in different directions for the development of the area in future. We are just following the footsteps of our beloved leader late Ch. Abdul Rehman who provided all rudimentary steps and we are trying our level best for their implementation.

A few decades ago there was only one primary school in our village and presently Alhamdulillah there are 8 Schools contributing quality education to our students, as a result, our students are obtaining awards from different institutions and some of them are competing internationally. Recently Noreen Malik D/O Abdul Malik from Aliabad got first position in High School Moolia by scoring 721 marks in her matric examination. On this occasion, ALEF awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000 on her brilliant performance.

We must thank Shoukat Hussain Janjua a handicaped intellectual teacher who is brought to school on wheel chair daily. He contributes tremendously to our society and development of our students (especially female students) providing education up to graduation even master level; no doubt he is our mobile university.

We also thank Dr. Fazal-ur-Rehman, Professor Akhtar Hussain, directors and members of ALEF for their contribution towards educational development programs of Aliabad.

Engineer Gul Rehman, Ch. Abdul Qayum HM Aliabad, Shaukat Hussain Janjua, Arshad Abbasi, Ch. Sabir Hussain, Ch. Ghulam Mustafa, Mrs. Suraiya, Miss Faiza Shabbir, Javaid Chohan and other members of community also addressed and expressed their views.
