This is a solid option for a short trek
into the foothills to the north of Pokhara which includes scenic
mountains and a fine slice of traditional village culture. The
itinerary suits those who want to see and feel the area in a short time
period.
Poon hill (3210 m) is an excellent
viewpoint for a panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan range. The top of
hill can be reached easily from the settlement of Ghorepani. Ghandruk
is a large traditional Gurung village.
