Practical Information

Though Hindi is the major language and everybody understands it, state government of uttar pradesh is more concerned about changing government signs in Urdu (as written in persian script). This is mostly to get muslim to vote for the current ruling party. This policy of appeasement is causing major problems in the state. Instead of focussing on real issues like development of infrastructure, government of UP is more focussed on creating new vote banks and appeasing some people. This could potentially lead to major social upheavels in state in the future. Road situation in most of UP is very bad. You could be lucky if you can find a good road to drive your vehicle. Golden quadrilateral project which indeed was a very ambitious project by the previous administration, is progressing at extremely slow progress and it is not likely it will be done in a manner originally envisioned.
