Valley of Flowers is something one can not miss to see in Uttaranchal. To be there in the midst of flowers and flowers alone, spread across a 2km wide and 10km long valley, at about 3,500 meters above sea level, is a great experience. But one gets disappointed if one expects to see big roses there! They are all wild flowers of over 300 species.
To get there one has to take a trecking path of about 14km from Govindghat, stay at Govinddham and from there again treck aout 3km.
The best season to visit is August.
