This city is situated on the border of India and Pakistan . Even though India and Pakistan do not share a very good relationship, Sri Ganganagar is a peaceful city. The very small city has many schools and famous colleges. It has been having good education centers since its early age. Most of the population of Sri Ganganagar is educated. The city is named after the great king Ganga Singh. Before the partition of India Sri Ganganagar used to come under State of Bikaner. Now both Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar come under Rajasthan, which is biggest state of India . Rajasthan is famous for its historical buildings; but Sri Ganganagar does not have any of them. The reason being it is a fairly new city. Sri Ganganagar's culture is a mixture of advance and backward culture; in one part of city you will see people living a very simple life and in the other part people are following western culture. Sri Ganganagar is famous for its crops of "Kinnu" which is a hybrid of orange fruit. Sri Ganganagar is the only place where thry grow the best "Kinnus". In short, Sri Ganganagar is a small but peaceful city of India which is in process of becoming a center of education. There is a small village in this city called Anupgarh. This place is famous for "Mazar of Laila Majnu". People belive that once a couple goes there and wishes for something with a true heart, God fulfills their wish. There is also a sugar mill which is one of the biggest in Asia. Suratgarh is near about 70 km far away from Sri Ganganagar. Suratgarh is famous for its Radio Station.
