Jaisalmer has become rather touristy, so it won’t be that hard to find accommodation. However, make sure whether the owner of the guesthouse or hotel expects you to take a camel-ride with him or not. Often, prices for spending the night are very low but for the trips quite expensive.

Hotel Rawal Kot is a property owned by the Taj Group of Hotels, a chain of 5 star hotels and spas. However, as compared to other Taj properties in Rajasthan this one is quite affordable (US$100-150/day for a double). The hotel is located on the outskirts of Jaisalmer. It's quite and clean. The staff is helpful and food is good. It's a nice place to place to relax. The disadvantage is that you will need a vehicle to visit Jaisalmer city.
