Sights

There are several interesting sight in the old city of Alwar. Visit, for example, the Bala Quilla or Bala Fort, the City Palace, the Neemrana Fort Palace, the Jai Samand Lake and one of the several temples. Sariska Tiger Reserve is the main reason why most people come to Alwar.

Bala Quilla

This ancient Bala Quilla Fort was constructed before the Mughal Empire. This fort stands at 595 meters above sea Level and its ramparts stretch out for 5 kms from the North to South and 1.6 Kms from the East to West. Jahangir, Akbar's Son, also stayed here for some time and place is also better known as Salim Mahal. The fort has got 51 small towers, over 400 openings and 15 large towers.
