Chandigarh Travel Guide

Chandigar has the unique distinction of being the capital of two states: Hariyana and Punjab. It is also a territory of its own right. The main attraction of this town (pop. 423 000) is its impressive modern architecture. The city was designed by the great French architect Le Corbusier who was commissioned for the job by the Indian government. The High Court Building is a standout. Chandigarh requires one night (it’s usually seen as a halfway stop between Delhi and Srinagar). 150 mi/240 km north of New Delhi.

Chandigarh Boasts beautiful sites such as the Rock Garden built mostly by one man who used rocks,pottery bits and any scraps he could find to build an impressive city within a city. Holding intriguing statues,gardens and a waterfall it is a must see for anyone visiting. A man made lake and a lovely rose garden also draw people in.
