Durga Puja is the festival to worship goddess Durga, wife of Lord Shiva. This is for four days and the whole city has a changed look during this time. The city attracts lot of visitors from the neighboring towns. One estimate is that the number of visitors equals that of the cities population. The impressive infrastructure of the city bears this load quite seamlessly.
