Ratnagiri Introduction : Ratnagiri is located on the southern western part of Maharashtra state right besides the Arabian sea coast. As like other Konkan region its eastern border is covered by Sahyadri Hills and western border is covered with beautiful Arabian sea. Ratnagiri has nine tahsils ; Mandangad, Dapoli, Khed, Chiplun, Guhagar, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Lanja and Rajapur. Chief rivers in Ratnagiri are the Shastri, Bor, Muchkundi, Kajali.
