There are no beaches at Ottapalam but there is a famous river passing through. The best time to visit is from August to December where there is water. During summer (Feb - March) you cannot enjoy it at all. However if you're looking for a beach you can look for it in the nearbies.

Bharatha Puzha

1 kms from Ottapalam town is the Bharathapuzha. Clean crisp water and less polluted water. Not safe to move in that area after dark becoz of anti-social elements. Comfortable for a lazy evening stroll.

At present the municipality authority is going to develop a large entertainment facility in this area.
