UDUPI is well connected by Bus from Bangalore and Mangalore. It is about 55 kms from Mangalore and plenty of private buses are available from Mangalore. Mangalore is about 350 km from Bangalore.
The nearest airport is Mangalore (Bajpe) which has daily flights from Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai. It also has some international flights(ones from the Middle East). It is connected from Mumbai and Chennai by buses and trains.Bangalore is connected by buses to udupi and train to Mangalore which is an hour and a half journey from Udupi. The scenic train journey between Mumbai and Udupi (through the Konkan coast) and Bangalore and Mangalore (through the Western Ghats) through a number of very remote places is a feast to the eyes.
