Getting There in Gulbarga

Gulbarga does not have an airport of its own.
You can get to Gulbarga from Hyderabad which is nearly 5 hrs journey by train/ bus and which is also the nearest airport. You can take trains bound to Mumbai i.e the Hussain Sagar Express originating from Hyderabad.
You can also make it to Gulbarga from Bangalore by train or bus. The distance from Bangalore is around 623 kms and takes around 12hours by train and 10hrs by bus.
You can take trains bound to Delhi i.e the Karnataka Express originating from Bangalore City or alternatively you could also take trains bound to Mumbai i.e the Udyan Express or the Lokmanya Tilak - Dadar Express from Bangalore city.
Many KSRTC (Govt.) and Private Ltd. buses ply to connect Gulbarga to all different parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra.

Edit ThisAs Gulbarga is well connected by road from all over the state and from hyderabad, since last year 2005 there are number of good Volvo bus service has started, about 5 daily volvo buses semi sleepers and two sleeper A/C runs between Gulabraga and bangalore, journey time is about 9-10hrs,they run in the night time,distance is about 610 kms.
