Kudlu Theertha Falls
Edit ThisHow to go - 20 kms from Agumbe, take a left detour before 6 kms to Hebri, another left after another 3-4 kms. The road will end at the banks of river Sita. There is a burma bridge on the right side to cross the river(dont try to swim across). After that one has to walk for 4 kms inside the jungle. There will be a small stream which has to be crossed to reach the foothills. Trek 3-4 kms and you will reach the most beautiful falls in the entire state.
Mode of transport - If one wants to go there by public transport, then he can either go to Shimoga and catch a mini more..

Sita River Nature Camp, or Sita Nadi Nisargha Dhama if English doesn't help, are a 30min bus ride away from Agumbe, 4km before the town of Hebri. Any bus heading towards the Hebri will drop you there for Rs. 15. Expect a leisurely boat ride more than a white water rafting run. The river course is pretty, however. People at www.acepaddlers.com take care of arranging all activities there. They also offer a trek to Koodlu Theertha falls.

Jogigundi falls
Edit ThisAgumbe is extremely scenic during monsoons, it's also
deserted. It rains without relent, and any major trekking route is full
of leeches. Jogigundi is an easy place to get to, and leeches are
confined only to the last 500 mts of the hike. During rainy season the
falls are beautiful and loud. In other seasons one can swim in the pool
below the falls.

Onke Abbi falls
Edit ThisThe grace of these falls are reserved for post monsoon season. On a bright dawn, you can witness the thousand rainbows in the rising mist. The jungle trail takes you to the top of the falls. From there you can hike upstream for as far as you want. Take a local guide for this hike - and they'll refuse to accompany you during monsoons because of the leeches.
