Getting There

Drass is just over two hours drive from Kargil. The road between Kargil and Drass however closes for civilian traffic after 5:30 pm. This time is subject to change.

Zoji-la pass lies between Kashmir and Drass. This pass only allows one way traffic at a time. 6am-12noon the traffic flows from Drass to Sonamarg, 12noon-6pm from Sonamarg to Drass. The road closes after this time.
