Keylong is the main town of Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh.
Situated at an altitude of 3350 mts above the sea level, it is surrounded by a number of small villages. Together they are the
main source of agricultural produce for the entire district. Barley,
buckwheat, and potato fields are spread beautifully over the hills.
There is a strong influence of Tibetan culture because of the region's
proximity with Tibet.
