In upper Bir there is the Bhawani guest house delivering best boarding and lodging services surrounded by nature having 5 deluxe rooms with attached bathrooms providing delicious and healthy food can contact for booking +911894268025, 268260,+919418015525. Then there is the Forest rest House in Upper Bir which is a charming colonial bungalow with 5 spacious rooms having attached baths & a beautiful garden. Rs 300/day for Indians and Rs 1000/day for foreigners. Advance booking should be made with the District Forestry Officer (DFO) in Palampur. There is no facility for food and you can arrange with the caretaker or some chai stalls to make basic food for you.
In Bir Tibetan Colony there are several budget guesthouses.
Billing is a 14 kms. or an hour rough ride from Bir. The starting point is in front of Cafe Emaho in Bir Tibetan colony at around 10 am every morning during the season. At Billing there is only a tea (chai) shop, which serves tea, chappati and omelets, but is not always open.
Baijnath is famous for its ancient 804 AD temple of Lord Shiva.
The Taragarh Palace Hotel is 8 kms. from Baijnath, a luxurious palace hotel of the Welcomgroup. Rooms range from Rs 1100 to around Rs 2500 per day.
