Kovalam beach is a tropical blue water beach located in the southernmost tip of india, in the state of kerala. The state of kerala, also called the malabar coast, with it's beautiful beaches and lagoons, tropical weather and fresh seafood and has been consistently rated in the top 10 exotic destinations by the National Geographic.
The weather is warm and humid, so wear light linens. Best places to visit are cochin, kovalam, munnar, thekkady, cherai, kumarakom and calicut.
Drink the local coconut rum, called kallu , straight from the tree and feast on the wide and exotic varieties of shrimp, lobster, mahi mahi, albacore and pearlspot fish.
Cuisine in Kerala is coconut curry based similar to thai cuisine, so really titillates your taste buds with the local mouth watering delicacies.

Enjoy and take an elephant ride at Thekkady, or ride the houseboat in kumarakom or soak under the sun at kovalam or even enjoy ayurvedic massage's in calicut.
The whole state of kerala is only 450 miles long and 200 miles wide by the arabian sea, and has the best airports and land transportation available.

The best part of it all, is that you can come back fresh and rejuvenated after a 7 day kerala vacation.
